Preparing line art by norli Preparing line art by norli
Yup, preparing the line art tutorial by me via photoshop 7.This is the way I do it.I know of other ways but people has been asking my methods of doing this so here it is.Sorry for the messy handwriting =P.I am not the best person who s good at explaining stuff but i did try here and forgive me if there are typo errors or the sort.I hope i have answered some of the questions you guys have been asking me.If you have anymore questions;feel free to send me a note.

Sorry for the huge file X__X.

*Keep in mind this is for preparing line art and NOT HOW TO DRAW or HOW TO INK.If you want to know how to ink your lineart go to my previous tutorial.

I have a question. I'm looking for anyone to answer.

I know there are sketches, linear, and cell shading but is there anything else and if so what are a decent price for all those

Ah, messed around a bit to my version and found it. "Channel to selection" instead of "load selection". I dunno what I did but it worked. Thanks though, this saved me from tracing over lines and such in the future! :D

Argh, I had it working before but now when I delete the selection it gives me an entirely black picture. I'm not sure what it is that I did the first time that stopped this. I followed this through to the letter yet it's still giving me a black picture after I delete the RGB channels. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?

This doesn't work for me. I use GIMP but there's no load channel option. ;_;

this is a good tutorial. I do have one question though. what's the best way to get a sketch scanned into a computer. Say I use a simple pencil sketch. Do I go back and ink the lines first? Or is it possible to scan a pencil sketch. If so what scanner settings should I use

On number 4, are you telling us to brush over the line art? . _ .
Or is there an option that just makes the lines darker...?
